I wanted to type an essay but I'm far too sleepy to actually do it, so I'm going with a collection of stuff regarding Crow. Some of this is is stated or hinted in canon, some of this is headcanon. Obviously full of spoilers

  • Crow likes books! He likes to read about pretty much anything at all, but the ones he loves the most are adventure ones. His favourite book is one called Pirate Isle and the reason he acts like such a jerk is because he tries to act like a character in there. He even quotes what that character says when he meets Seto, going word per word.

  • Seto was the first alive person he met. This is also part of why he bullies him right away— it's the first person he meets and it's the first time he gets the chance to play with someone else! Only his idea of playing includes re-enacting the Pirate Isle.

  • I figure he comes from the same lab Sai and Ren were in. I have no idea what the project that lead to his (and the other dolls) creation was— either it was WAR WEAPONS!! or. Idk, someone going LET'S MAKE ROBOTS MAN, THEY'RE AWESOME!!

  • Unlike the other dolls you meet in game, Crow has particular features (all the others look exactly alike), and he even has a photo of himself with one of the scientist. I think he was probably one of the few successful ones of whatever they were trying to do— and because of this, he was never discarded. I don't think he was complete, especially given that he has no memory of his past. Glass Cage happened though, so the scientist he was in care of died and he couldn't get completed. From this point on, I think he wandered aimlessly for a bit until he actually got a sense of self— at which point he had no idea who he was, where he was, or anything about the world at all.

  • He probably found the photo he keeps with him in the pocket of the clothes he wore at the time. He couldn't remember a thing though, so he decided to go on a quest to find the place in the photo.

  • Since Fragile's world is so devastated and people are hard to come by, he probably was pretty bored in his quest to find his past. That's how he took up reading books, and ended up liking them. So much that he decided to give himself a really cool name! I figure he was incredibly excited about it, and even came up with his own catchphrase, which is the "TALLYHOO!" he shouts in game.

  • The clothes he wears now are a collection of stuff he stole around. He used to wear a hospital grown pretty much, which isn't very cool man. So yeah, everything he wears is something he stole and thought was cool to wear, including the teapot. ...and the crow's head, I suppose.

  • He has traveled a lot before meeting Seto. I think he saw a lot of the world— far more than Seto at least. Still, this is a desolated world full of cats and not people, so it's not like he has a much better knowledge. He likes to pretend he does, though.

  • While he does keep in mind to act cool at all times, he actually is pretty openly affectionate! With people he cares for, of course.

  • He's not someone who can hide his feelings. If something is up it will be obvious, and if it's something he considers Not Cool he won't talk about it and cover it up with bullying or changing the subject, but he's not capable of hiding that he's very much not okay if that's how he feels.

  • While he can be tactless he can actually comfort people. When he realizes what a big deal it is for Seto that he's shutting down, he tries to comfort him as best as he can. This despite the fact a few seconds before he was all "yeah, but I'm not human" and pretty much thought he was worthless. Seto made him realize he was important for someone and he wanted to leave a good last impression, as well as make sure his friend was going to be okay.

  • The fact he isn't human was actually a big shock for Crow. When you meet him again in game, he acts all cool (like always) and keeps on a "I don't care" attitude, but he keeps pointing out how he's not human when Seto insists that he's his friend. He now has accepted it, but will still not openly admit it because he's kind of... bitter about it? He will keep at it until he finds a way to think this makes him ten times cooler than other people. Or until he reads a book with cool robots in it.

  • Aaand that's it for now. I will add more to this once I come up with other stuff.
